Personal Compunding
I came across this Youtube Video from Bill Ackman, and it resonated with me enough that I felt that I should apply the principles to my own life.
The key areas that I need to focus on personal compounding for myself are.
- Health
- Sleep, focus on improving sleep each day. I notice I feel great and positive after good nights sleep, and depressed and hopeless with bad sleep.
- Nutrition, my nutrition is currently a bit of a side-note, I drink a lot of YFood protein shakes, stay mostly gluten free, but I don’t spend barely any time planning meals or really ensuring that I’m getting a balanced nutrition. I also am quite sure I am not getting enough fiber as I have some digestion discomfort sometimes.
- Mental Health, I need to work on my stress levels, worrying too much about the future, trying to micro manage etc. Perhaps a meditation practice that I am motivated by and actually can stick to would help here, something to reasearch.
- Personal Life My Social Life is quite lacking, due to prioritizing work/family for many years, I have neglected building up a proper friends circle, and I know that amount/quality of friends is directly correalted to happiness. I also need more connection/time with my family. This is difficult as they live far away, but I want to visit them more often, and also video call with them more often.
- Organization I struggle with organization, I have for most of my life. I need to get better daily at my personal organization.
- Career I need to improve my craft/skillset daily.
